My final english assignment of high school

I've learned that technology is more important to our race than I'd originally thought. Everything we do every day involves some sort of technology. Whether it be taking a shower or doing research online, it all involves technology. With this understanding, I know now that using technology to my advantage will further widen my options as a young adult.

Technology is expanding at an alarming rate. As a student during this explosion of technology, it is almost a responsibility to know how to use and utilize the internet and its contents to my advantage. In my future, computers could exceed the efficiency of the human brain, or even the human race. Learning to use these technologies to my advantage could give me the initiative to change the world in the future.

Digital literacy was key for me even finishing high school. If I hadn't joined Jeffconet academy, I would not be graduating today, if at all. I was already quick and witty with a computer and its workings, so Jeffconet gave me an advantage over traditional learning facilities. I'd have to spend another year and a half in a public school, where I'd been struggling to learn at all due to an extremely abstract thought process, and an unmotivated soul. One large thing I learned to come to terms with in jeffconet is my speaking. I used to not state my opinion, and I would jumble my sentences and be embarrassed. But Jeffconet gave me not the skill, but the confidence to speak my opinions proudly and efficiently, while avoiding being boisterous.

I think that taking this online course prepared me for what the future has to offer. Technology is advancing at an alarming rate, and with the experience I've gained from Jeffconet, I'll be able to jump right into whatever the situation might be. (Online college classes, online debates, online... anything.) I think that learning to use the internet and other technology as a tool for success, along with the deeper understanding of the education within will get me ahead. My future is still not completely clear, but I know that when the time comes, I will be prepared for what the world has to offer me.


With that said, I feel comfortable to be graduating high school at this time. It is going to be an amazing learning experience. If you think about it, this generation are the pioneers of the use of technology. If we keep on top of it, we could become veterans in time. The internet has become much more than just a place for me to go when I become languid. It has become a useful tool that I can do just about anything with. Every time I use the internet, I learn something new. And without it, I would not be where I am right now.
